Send Money Wine and Choppers

These not-so-poor types blasted into Raetihi the other day for a treasure hunt around town. They stayed at Snowy Waters Lodge and then wafted away on their around New Zealand tour. The landing shown in the video is the site of the Waimarino Hospital which is jut above Snowy Waters.

These 2 brilliant 3 month old birds were released today into forestry a few minutes from our backpackers in Raetihi. The eggs were removed from the nest at about 60 days and taken to Rotorua to hatch and grow to a stage where the birds can defend themselves against predators. Then they come back home. The first half of the video is a talk fro Warren Oates who co-ordinates the project and then we go into the bush and let the brother and sister kiwi out.
